Privacy Policy

Applicable to DashKit and all applications published by TwentyTwo Digital Product Studio.

1. Core Privacy Principle: Zero External Data Collection

TwentyTwo Digital Product Studio ("we", "us", or "our") engineers local-first software. DashKit does not collect, harvest, rent, sell, or transmit your personal information to any external servers owned by us or third-party advertisers. We operate zero analytics trackers, zero advertising SDKs, and zero external user databases.

2. Apple HomeKit Data

DashKit requests access to Apple's native HomeKit framework solely to display your homes, rooms, accessories, scenes, and live camera streams on your dashboard, and to evaluate your custom status badges and appearance rules. All HomeKit communication happens locally on your device and via Apple's end-to-end encrypted HomeKit architecture.

3. Calendar, Reminders & Camera (Barcode Scanner)

With your explicit permission, DashKit accesses Apple's EventKit framework to display upcoming calendar events and manage active reminder/grocery lists directly on your dashboard.

When using the hands-free Grocery Barcode Scanner, live camera frames are processed 100% locally in real time on your device using Apple's native Vision framework. Camera video feeds are never recorded, stored, or uploaded anywhere.

4. Location & Weather Data

If granted When-In-Use Location permission, DashKit uses your device's coordinates solely to query live meteorological forecasts and solar sunrise/sunset times via Apple's native WeatherKit service. Your location history is never tracked or stored externally.

5. iCloud & CloudKit Synchronization

To synchronize dashboard configurations, custom status badge rules, household grocery catalogs, and Central Hub push notification events across your devices and invited household members, DashKit utilizes Apple's native CloudKit and NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore services tied to your personal Apple ID. This data is governed directly by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy.

6. Media & Music Services

DashKit integrates with Apple Music (via MusicKit) and optionally Spotify (via OAuth 2.0 with PKCE stored securely in your local iOS Keychain) strictly to display now-playing metadata and allow playback control on your dashboard.
